Documentary „Boom – The Sound of Eviction“ on the gentrification process in San Francisco during the new economy boom – and on a big variety of protest and resistance action against increasing rents, displacement and evictions. (96 min., in english)
The idea is not only to watch a really good movie but also to discuss the ideas of direct action against gentrification – and which could be suitable for Berlin.
Bad weather? Then we’ll meet in the Café in Linienstraße 206 and will be having the screening inside.
Don’t be afraid: If you’d rather go to the demonstration against gentrification that will start at 20h at Berlin’s city hall „Rotes Rathaus“ you also have to watch the movie at youtube – but you will probably miss the discussion.
